Google has just released the Android 12 Developer Preview 3 for the Pixel phones. According to the roadmap that Google had announced already, this should be the final developer preview before the Android Beta starts in May.
While Google has just talked about the new tools and changes for the developers in the release, some tech experts have managed to dig a bit deeper to bring out some other details. During their hunt, they also found a reference to the next Pixel 5a.
According to the sleuths over at 9to5Google, a reference to “Barbet,” which is the codename for the Pixel 5a has been spotted. The new thing, however, to learn is its chipset. According to their findings, the Android 12 DP3 code also shows the model number “sm7250,” which implies to Snapdragon 765G processor. This suggests the Pixel 5a is going to use the same chipset that is used by the Pixel 5. It is surprising to note that a budget Pixel phone will possess the same power as the mightiest one. But what other powers will Google snatch from its budget phone to make it a different offering or affordable than the standard one?
Earlier this month, Google itself came up to confirm the existence of the Pixel 5a 5G. Not only that, but Google also confirmed many other key aspects like when the launch will happen and what countries will get the phone first.
