Samsung Galaxy A22 renders show what the design could be

23 April 2021 0

Samsung is supposedly prepping up to launch a new phone in the Galaxy A-series. It is speculated as Galaxy A22 and the first unofficial renders of the same have just surfaced. The well-known industry insider Steve Hemmerstoff aka @OnLeaks has shared the renders of the Galaxy A22 on Voice.com.

It is important to note that these renders are unofficial but they are based on likely the final factory specifications of the Galaxy A22. So, we can proceed with the given information for now.

The renders show the Galaxy A22 is carrying a waterdrop-style notch on the display to give a house to the selfie camera. The report states, the back of the Galaxy A22 gets quad cameras, all house inside a square module that is protruding.

The report hasn’t posted any key aspects of the phone. The only other information provided by the report is the phone’s dimensions – 167.2x76.4x8.7mm. The report puts out no other details but we can refer to some past leaks to know more about it.

According to a report that came from TheElec last month, the Galaxy A22 will feature a 48MP+8MP+2MP+2MP quad-camera setup on the back, similar to the Galaxy A21s. At the front, the phone is expected to have a 13MP selfie camera. The phone is said to be targeting India and other emerging markets and will be offered in both 4G and 5G variants.

The Galaxy A22 is said to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It is possible that the 4G version of the smartphone could use a lower-end processor. It will be offered in four colors – gray, light green, purple, and white. It is suspected that the Galaxy A22 5G could be Samsung’s cheapest 5G smartphone this year, which would make its 4G variant an ultra-budget phone.

Let’s see what other details we can learn in the coming days.
