A new Asus Zenfone phone has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing does not explicitly mention the name of the phone but the model number ASUS_ZS590KS/ASUS_I006D appears to be associated with the Zenfone 8 Mini if the past reports are to be referred.
The listing, however, reveals some key aspects, including the Android 11 OS, 16GB RAM, and Snapdragon 888 processor. As for the scores, the smartphone got 1121 and 3662 in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, respectively.
Previously, the phone with the same model number allegedly appeared on TUV SUD certification, revealing 30W fast-charging.
The Zenfone 8 Mini is referred to as “SAKE” internally, according to the past digging done on the Asus ROG Phone 5 kernel code. According to the same findings, there is a phone addressed “SAKE_PLUS” internally, this reflects the Zenfone 8 Mini might come in two variants. It should be noted that the “SAKE” is referred to as “small phone” in the code, which is a good implication that the spotted device is indeed Zenfone 8 “Mini.”
The same finding has revealed the phone could feature a 5.92-inch OLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and FHD+ resolution. The device is rumored to have two image sensors – 64MP Sony IMX686 and a new IMX663.
