Lava's Z-series of smartphones is getting a new member with the launch of the Lava Z2 Max. It is a phone marketed as a perfect companion for online learning. Its main highlight includes a bigger display and battery that Lava believes will help anyone interested in learning through the phone.

The Lava Z2 Max sports a 7-inch HD+ (1640 x 720 pixels) IPS display with a dot-like notch and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by an undisclosed MediaTek Helio processor and has 2GB of RAM. It is available with a single 32GB onboard storage option but also supports microSD cards up to 256GB.

The back panel has a dual-camera setup featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.85 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The front camera on the phone is an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture, screen flash, and fixed focus. There is a huge 6,000mAh battery to keep the lights on. It is claimed to offer up to 40 hours of talk time on 4G connectivity and about 9 hours of continuous YouTube playback with full brightness and sound.

The phone will run stock Android 10 (Go Edition) out of the box. Lava is promising no ads and bloatware with the software and even assuring guaranteed updates. The Lava Z2 Max is priced at INR 7,799 for the sole 2GB/32GB configuration. It will be sold in Stroked Blue and Stroked Cyan color options. Laval is also offering free 1-year screen replacement with the smartphone.
