Oppo has unveiled a new 5G capable smartphone named Oppo K9 5G in China. The phone was announced at the same event where it also took wraps off the Oppo K9 smart TV lineup. It is a direct successor to the Oppo K7 5G from the last year and brings a few noteworthy upgrades.
The Oppo K9 5G sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) punch-hole display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It offers a 91.7% screen-to-body ratio and 410ppi pixel density. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G processor coupled with 8GB of RAM. It is available with up to 256GB of onboard storage which should be more than enough for most users.
The triple rear camera setup on the phone features a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera on the phone includes a 32-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture housed within the punch-hole.
The whole package is powered by a 4,300mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. It will be running ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box. Other important features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Oppo K9 5G will cost you CNY 1,899 for the 8GB/128GB model and CNY 2,199 for the 8GB/256GB model.
