HMD Global is one of those few OEMs around the world that only releases smartphones but also feature phones quite regularly. It has now launched the Nokia 2720 V Flip phone in the United States. It is essentially a flip feature phone but has a few "smart" features as well. The phone has been released exclusively through Verizon and hence the "V" in the name.
The Nokia 2720 V Flip actually has dual displays, one on the inside and one on the outside. This is a normal affair for phones with a flipping mechanism. The primary internal display is a 2.8-inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) panel and the one on the outside is a 1.3-inch panel with 240 x 240 pixels resolution.
Under the hood, it has a dual-core Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform processor paired with 512MB of RAM. The phone is available with 4GB of onboard storage and supports microSD cards up to 32GB. The phone has a single 2-megapixel camera on the back but no selfie camera. It is a dual-SIM phone and runs KaiOS which is like a go-to operating system for "smart" feature phones.
The whole package is powered by a 1,500mAh battery that can be removed by the user. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack and even supports Google Assistant. The phone can connect to a 4G LTE network for reliable and fast enough internet connectivity. The Nokia 2720 V Flip has been priced at $79.99 and will be sold only in Black color.
