Xiaomi didn’t announce the other details but, at least, we now know that Redmi Note 8 (2021) does exist. Some past reports can, however, give you an idea of what to expect from the phone. A recent Bluetooth SIG listing of the phone with the model number M1908C3JGG and a clear indication that the phone is “Redmi Note 8” was also spotted. The listing didn’t offer many details but it managed to tell that the phone could come with Bluetooth 5.2.
Furthermore, a spotted FCC listing clearly showed the Redmi Note 8 (2021) would run MIUI 12.5 and come with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor.
Some past rumors also contributed their role to fill up the remaining details, according to what the Redmi Note 8 (2021) may include an IPS display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. It might feature a quad rear camera setup, where the primary sensor is 48MP. It is also speculated to have at least 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
While Xiaomi confirmed the existence of the Redmi Note 8 (2021), it didn’t reveal exactly when the device will launch. Well, of course, it is too early to reveal such an important detail. For comparison, the Redmi Note 8 (2019) model was launched in August. So, we expect Xiaomi will bring the successor during the same timeframe this year. We are just making guess for now. Let’s wait a little more to get things revealed on their own.
