Xiaomi has silently launched the Redmi Note 8 (2021) just after a few days of confirming its arrival. The Redmi Note 8 2019 had great success as the company managed to sell more than 25MP units globally since its launch and looks like this achievement has motivated the company to bring an upgraded version this year.
The all-new Redmi Note 8 (2021) gets a 6.3-inch full HD+ LCD screen with 2340x1080 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 2021 has MediaTek’s Helio G85 processor with a Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU, 4GB LPDDR4x RAM, up to 128GB storage that can be expanded further using a microSD card. The phone runs Android 11 out-of-the-box with the company’s MIUI 12 custom UI on the top. It is fueled with a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. It comes with a 22.5W charger in the box.
The quad cameras sit in a strip-like arrangement on the rear panel. The configurations of these cameras include a 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front side, the phone features a 13MP snapper for taking selfies and doing video calls.
