OnePlus 9T leak suggests LTPO display with 120Hz variable refresh rate

OnePlus 8T for reference only

As we are in the middle of the year already, it is time to seek answers to your eager question and that is if OnePlus has planned to launch a new addition to its “T” line of phones? Well, there is no official confirmation on the OnePlus 9T for now but looks like the rumor mill has already around the same.

Those who are uninitiated OnePlus launches new phones in its T-line of series in the second half of every year. For instance, the company launched the OnePlus 8T following the OnePlus 8 series last year. And now, following its ritual, OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 9T as well.

OnePlus launched the T-variant of its OnePlus 8 series in October last year, so we believe the iteration which is presumed to be the OnePlus 9T should arrive during the same time frame.

Now, a tip found on Weibo platform claims to reveal the OnePlus 9T specifications. A known tipster on Weibo has shared that the OnePlus 9T will be using a Samsung E4 LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate and full HD+ resolution. For comparison, the top model of the OnePlus 9 series also carries an LTPO AMOLED display panel with a 120Hz variable refresh rate but has a higher display resolution.

It is also expected that much like the last year, OnePlus might not launch a Pro model of the OnePlus 9T this year as well.

These were the only first few details on the alleged OnePlus 9T model. We expect to hear more about the same in the coming days.
