Microsoft has announced the return of Xbox Design Lab to let users customize Xbox controllers to their liking. The newly released lab comes with a revamped design with an easy-to-follow customization process. It supports both Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X controllers with come with the current-generation consoles.
Xbox Design Lab features 18 different colors for each customizable aspect of the controller. There are three new colors called Shock Blue, Pulse Red, and Electric Volt. Microsoft says mixing and matching these colors can result in over 30 million combinations and thus a unique experience for buyers.
The web-based customization tool will let you choose colors for aspects like the controller body, triggers, and bumpers. You can choose colors and see the changes in real-time. There is also support for laser-engraving that can be used for getting custom text engraved on the controller. It should be noted that there is the option only for choosing solid colors and no patterns or designs.
It is important to note that Microsoft does not allow changing or canceling the order once it has been placed. It says all customized controllers are non-returnable and should reach you within 28 days of the order placement. As for the pricing, you can get a custom-designed Xbox controller for $69.99 i.e. $10 expensive than the standard versions.
