Vivo's Y-series is focused on smartphones that easier on the pocket. This is the reason it has become quite popular among budget buyers in China and India. It has now announced a new budget offering named Vivo Y12A in China. The main highlight of the phone is its huge battery that will offer a longer battery life.
The Vivo Y12A sports a 6.51-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) IPS display with a dew-drop notch. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It has a single 32GB storage option with support for microSD cards. The latter is helpful in expanding the phone's storage if the native capacity gets full.
The vertically aligned dual-camera setup includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. The front camera on the phone is an 8-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and attending video calls. The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Vivo has priced the Vivo Y12A at around $145 for the sole 3GB/32GB configuration. It is available in Blue and Green color options but there are no words on the global expansion yet.
