iPhone 13 series to have faster wireless charging, reverse charging, portrait video

06 July 2021 0

Apple's next-gen iPhone 13 series is expected to come with a number of noticeable changes. The new leak claims that iPhone 13 series will have support for reverse charging, faster wireless charging, and portrait video mode. These details have been shared in a recent YouTube video by EverythingApplePro in collaboration with Max Weinbach.

The video claims that Apple will use larger wireless charging coils with the iPhone 13 lineup. This change is expected to result in better heat dissipation and management. It has also led to speculations that we might see faster wireless charging speed which is limited to only 15W on the current-gen iPhone 12 models. This relatively slow charging speed is the reason many users do not use wireless charging as a primary way of topping up their iPhone's battery.

The most important bit of information is that iPhone 13 family could arrive with reverse charging as well. This is something we are seeing with Android devices for years but will be a first for Apple. It will surely be helpful for users who are likely to find themselves in a situation where there is no socket available nearby. One does not expect it to be able to charge big devices like other phones quickly but it should be good enough for charging small devices like wireless earbuds and smartwatches.

Lastly, we might finally see portrait video mode support with the iPhone 13 lineup. Apple currently offers portrait mode only for photos clicked through both rear and front cameras. It recently added the ability to blur one's background during FaceTime video calls. It seems like the team is now ready to expand the support to video recordings as well.

The Apple iPhone 13 isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
