Huawei Nova 8i with Snapdragon 662, 64MP quad cameras goes official

07 July 2021 0

Huawei has added one more member to its already pretty extended Nova 8 family. The new phone Nova 8i is a mid-range addition and it has been made available in Malaysia.

The Nova 8i features a Full HD+ LCD display with almost no bezels around and Huawei likes to call it an “Edgeless Display,” though there is a thin strip of bezel surrounds the bottom edge. There is a pill-shaped cut-out on the top left corner of the display that houses a single 16MP camera.

On the rear, the Huawei Nova 8i gets four cameras, all housed inside a circular-shaped module in a 2x2 matrix format. The dual-LED flash stays outside this module. The configuration of this camera setup consists of a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor. Huawei touts the back cover has a 4D curvature which that offers rounded edges for an ultra-smooth touch. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the Huawei Nova 8i is powered by Snapdragon 662 processor with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It runs Android 10 with EMUI 11 on top. It packs a 4,300mAh battery that can charge a device from 0 to 60% in 17 minutes and fully charge in 38 minutes when bundled with a 66W charger.
