July 2021 Android security update rolling out to these Pixel phones

Google has started rolling out the July security patch to its eligible Pixel phones, starting from Pixel 3 and all the way up to Pixel 5.

According to the Android Security Bulletin for the month of July 2021, there are multiple security vulnerabilities ranging in severity from high to critical that have been patched. In addition to these, Google has also patched additional vulnerabilities in the security update rolling out for Pixel devices.

The bulletin shows Google has addressed 10 security flaws and released 2 functional updates –

The update enables VoLTE on “certain” unspecified networks and has a fix for “continued device reboots” under certain scenarios.

Samsung has once again become one of the first OEMs to roll out the latest security patch to its eligible devices. The devices include Galaxy Fold, Galaxy S20 series, and the Galaxy Note 10 series.
