13 July 2021 0

ZTE has announced a new budget-friendly smartphone named ZTE Blade A31 in Russia. It is an Android Go device which means there are barebones specifications and features. It is aimed at buyers with a really tight budget or anyone who is looking for an Android smartphone at the cheapest possible pricing.

The ZTE Blade A31 sports a 5.45-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) IPS display with the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. It has thick bezels on the top and bottom as you would expect from a budget phone. The choice of processor is an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A chipset paired with 2GB of RAM. The phone is available with a single onboard storage option of 32GB (microSD card supported up to 128GB).

In the camera department, you will find an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It is claimed that the rear camera features HDR support for sharper shots. The whole package is powered by a 3,000mAh battery with support for a power-saving mode to extend the battery life. It will boot Android 11 (Go edition) out of the box. Other noteworthy options include a microUSB port, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, and dual-SIM support.

If interested, the ZTE Blade A31 can be purchased for RUB 7,490 (about $100) in Russia. The available color options include Blue and Grey along with a textured back panel. There are no words on if this budget Android Go device will be released in other markets around the world.
