Vivo has launched Vivo Y72 5G mid-range smartphone in India. The phone shares the name as the one unveiled in Thailand earlier this year but differs in terms of product design and specifications. One of the biggest differences is that the Indian version features dual rear cameras instead of a triple camera setup. In terms of design, the camera module design is also different.
The Vivo Y72 5G sports a 6.58-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a dot-like notch and 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor capable of providing 5G connectivity. There is only one configuration option: 8GB of RAM with 128GB onboard storage. The good thing is that there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion purposes.
The dual rear camera setup includes a 48-megapixel primary camera with f/1.79 aperture and a 2-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The selfie shooter on the device is an 8-megapixel sensor housed within the notch. The battery capacity on the smartphone is 5,000mAh and is supported by 18W charging. It will be running FuntouchOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.
The pricing of the Vivo Y72 5G is set at INR 20,990 (about $282) for the sole 8GB/128GB option. It will be available in Prism Magic and Slate Gray color options.
