OnePlus Nord N10 5G appears to be just a few days away from receiving its first and only major OS upgrade. This is apparent as a user was able to pull the Android 11 OTA update on their carrier-locked MetroPCS Nord N10 5G device. This suggests the wider rollout might not be too far.
In November 2020, OnePlus made this official that Nord N10 5G will receive only one OS upgrade. And, it is believed that the spotted Android 11 OTA update is the first and last OS upgrade for the device. Note that the device runs Android 10 out of the box and even though the stable Android 12 is closer, OnePlus just chose to deliver the Android 11.
OnePlus hasn’t yet disclosed when the Android 11 will be rolled out to all Nord N10 5G units, but seeing the update on a carrier-locked device indicates the wider rollout is not too far. Well, we can’t deem it as a confirmation, however, this bodes well for all the Nord N10 5G units out there.
Because the update is yet to be officially confirmed, there is no changelog. But, expect all the core features of the Android 11 and all those features that were fed to the OnePlus 8 when it upgraded.
While the OnePlus Nord N10 5G is eligible to receive only one OS upgrade, it has been qualified to receive two security updates, as per OnePlus.
Let’s see when OnePlus will bring the update officially to all Nord N10 5G devices.
