The much-awaited and rumored OnePlus Nord 2 5G is finally official. It is the direct successor to the original OnePlus Nord launch last year. It comes with noteworthy upgrades over the predecessor as one would expect. It is also the first-ever OnePlus smartphone with a MediaTek processor.
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is a punch-hole panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio, sRGB support, and Display P3 support. Under the hood, it has the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI processor with ARM G77 MC9 GPU. The phone is available with 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB of RAM along with 64GB and 128GB onboard storage options.
The triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with f/1.88 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.25 aperture, and 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The punch-hole on the phone houses a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 selfie shooter with f/2.45 aperture.
The whole package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 65W Warp Charge fast charging. The phone has a USB Type-C port, in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2 support. It will boot OxygenOS 11.3 based on Android 11 out of the box.
The OnePlus Nord 2 5G has been priced at INR 27,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant, at INR 29,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant, and at INR 34,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant. It will be sold in Blue Haze, Gray Sierra, and Green Wood color options. It will go on sale starting July 26th via Amazon India for Prime members and via the OnePlus website for Red Cable Club members. The open sale for the smartphone will begin on July 28th.
