Oppo has unveiled a new mid-range smartphone named Oppo A93s 5G in China. It is an incremental upgrade over the Oppo A93 5G that was announced earlier this year. The new phone comes with a few differences but is largely the same as the previous offering. The biggest difference between the two devices is the processor choice.
The Oppo A93s 5G sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD punch-hole display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it has the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor with dual-mode 5G support. The phone is available with a single configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. It also supports microSD cards for both variants.
The phone has a triple camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary shooter, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel monochrome shooter. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture housed within the punch-hole in the top left corner. The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
On the software front, it will run the newest ColorOS 11 based on Android 11. Other noteworthy features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, and a fingerprint scanner on the side. The Oppo A93s 5G has been priced at CNY 1,999 (about $309) for the 8GB/256GB variant. The color options include Black, Blue, and White.
