Huawei has officially unveiled its much-awaited P50 lineup of smartphones in China. There are two models named Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro. As is usually the case, both these phones share a lot of specifications and features but differ in a few aspects to make them stand apart. The Pro variant is obviously the more expensive offering in the series.
The Huawei P50 Pro sports a 6.6-inch Full HD+ (2700 x 1228 pixels) OLED curved display with a centered punch-hole. The panel supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 300Hz touch sampling rate, P3 color gamut support, and 450PPI pixel density. Under the hood, it is offering a choice between HiSilicon Kirin 9000 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
There are multiple configuration options featuring up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB onboard storage. The camera module features four camera sensors: 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, a 40-megapixel monochrome sensor with f/1.6 aperture, a 13-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/3.5 aperture (3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom). The front camera is a 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
The whole package is powered by a 4,360mAh battery with support for 66W wired Super Fast charging. It can also support 50W wireless Super Fast charging. Other features include IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, in-display fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, NFC, and Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity. It will run HarmonyOS 2 out of the box.

As for the Huawei P50, it has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (2700 x 1220 pixels) OLED display with no curves but has the same centered punch-hole. The panel refresh rate is 90Hz, the touch sampling rate is 300Hz, and the pixel density of 458PPI. It is available with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage.
The triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/3.4 aperture. The front camera is a 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The battery capacity on the phone is a 4,100mAh battery with support for 66W Super Fast charging. It also has IP68 rating, in-display fingerprint scanner, and USB Type-C port.
