Motorola has unveiled its newest member of the Edge family i.e. Edge 20 series. There are three phones named Edge 20 Pro, Edge 20, and Edge 20 Lite. The three phones are aimed at different price segments and hence offer features and specifications accordingly.
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro is the most expensive offering in the lineup. It sports a 6.7-inch OLED Max Vision display with support for up to 144Hz refresh rate. The panel further offers 10-bit color, HDR10+, Amazon HDR, and DCI-P3 color gamut. There is Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor with Adreno 650 GPU and 5G support. The configuration option includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
The triple rear camera setup includes a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel periscope-style telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom, and 16-megapixel wide-angle sensor. The main sensor is powered by the Ultra Pixel technology where nine surrounding pixels are combined into one "ultra" pixel. It is said to result in 9x better light sensitivity for improved low-light performance.
The whole package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 30W TurboPower fast charging. It is claimed to last for over 30 hours on a single charge while using 5G. And when it comes to charging, the tech can give you 9 hours of charge within 10 minutes.
The standard Edge 20 features the same display size and tech as the Pro model except for Amazon HDR. The choice of processor here is Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G with Adreno G642L GPU and 5G support. It is available with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage as the only configuration option.
The camera specs are also the same as the Edge 20 Pro. The only difference is that the 8-megapixel sensor on Edge 20 is limited to 3x optical zoom. The battery capacity is 4000mAh with support for 30W TurboPower charging.
Even the Edge 20 Lite has the same display tech and size except for two differences. The panel offers only a 90Hz refresh rate and does not support Amazon HDR. It comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM. It offers 128GB storage space and should have microSD card expansion as well.
The camera setup has the same main 108-megapixel camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Motorola has packed it with the biggest 5,000mAh battery available in the series. The 30W TurboPower fast charging is available here too.
