After a long wait, Apple has finally added support for local payment options on the Indian App Store. It means Indian users can now use UPI, RuPay cards, and net banking for making App Store payments. These newly added options are available alongside the traditionally used method of debit and credit cards.
The process for adding these new payment methods is exactly the same. You can do that by visiting Settings -> Apple ID -> Payment & Shipping -> Add Payment Method. The second way is to visit the App Store and tap on your profile icon followed by the Apple ID option. From here, tap the Manage Payments option to add your preferred method.

These new payment options can be used for purchasing anything from the App Store, even for iTunes payments. One can also use them for adding funds to the Apple account. They have started to appear for a lot of users but if you are not seeing them, we would suggest you be patient. The change should reflect on your device anytime soon.
