Google previewed its Pixel 6 series and confirmed that it does have its own custom-built SoC for Pixel phones. Google has promised its Tensor SoC for smartphones will bring everything that it has envisioned so far. It promises Pixel 6 phones will feature better camera and speech recognition among other improvements.
The company disclosed some major details during the preview but kept the veil on pricing and availability details. An initial investigation though has managed to understand where the Pixel 6 phones will be made available.
As per XDADevelopers, Google Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro phones are said to be coming in 8 countries in total, based on the fact that the landing pages for them have already gone live.
Going by this fact, it appears that Google is once again all set to disappoint some countries by not bringing its premium phones to their market. For instance, markets like India are missing from the list and hence we presume Google has decided to keep its highly ambitioned Pixel 6 phones away from them.
This is upsetting potential buyers who were ready to buy the new device. However, this doesn’t come as a surprise. Pixel 6 is simply following the footsteps of Pixel 4 and the Pixel 5 which weren’t made available in the country. Buyers, however, are now eyeing the confirmed Pixel 5a phone which is reportedly launching this month. It is believed that countries like India will receive the Pixel 5a phone, at least.
