Honor silently launched the Play5T Pro phone in China. The phone is actually spotted on Honor’s mall, indicating an official launch. The phone supports a hole punch on the display. Overall, the device appears to have a very narrow bezel.
The Honor Play5T Pro features a 6.6-inch display with 2400x1080 pixels resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. It gets a 64MP primary sensor, followed by a 2MP depth sensor and an LED flash. The back cameras setup supports AI photography, night mode, and so on. On the front, the device has a 16MP camera.
Under the hood, the Honor Play5T Pro gets MediaTek’s Helio G80 processor and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. It gets a 4,000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging. As per the company’s claims, the phone gets 53% charged in 30 minutes. The device also features Honor Smart Power Saving Technology that aims to reduce power consumption by limiting background app activity so that you enjoy long gameplay hours, streaming movies, and so on.
The phone runs Android 10 with Magic UI 4.0 on the top. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Honor Play5T Pro gets a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
The price of the Honor Play5T Pro is 1499 yuan ($232) for the 8GB+128GB version. It comes in two color options - Magic Night Black and Titanium Silver.
