Microsoft has announced Xbox Cloud Gaming is now available for Windows 10 users through the Xbox app. It is available in the beta stage for all Insiders in 22 countries around the world. This brings Microsoft's cloud-based game streaming service on one more major platform out there.
It means there will be an updated Xbox application available for users from supported regions. It will add a new section called Cloud Games that will offer a collection of all cloud-based games. It is basically the section where gamers will visit to access all of their Xbox Cloud Gaming collection.
The release means PC gamers do not have to look for a spec-heavy desktop or laptop to play their favorite PC games. All they will need is a Windows machine and a compatible Bluetooth controller. Simply connect your controller, launch the Xbox app, and start playing the game you want.
For the uninitiated, Xbox Cloud Gaming is a service that allows users to stream and play PC games from almost anywhere and on any device. It is the same as streaming your favorite TV shows and movies. All you need is a good enough internet connection and any device like a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. The service supports data syncing so that you start playing on one device and resume on another.
