Asus' current-gen gaming smartphone ROG Phone 5 lineup went official earlier this year. It features three models i.e. ROG Phone 5, ROG Phone 5 Pro, and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. The brand is now reportedly ready to add a fourth member to the series. It is said to be named ROG Phone 5s and is expected to be powered by improved specifications.
The leak claims that the alleged ROG Phone 5s will sport an OLED display panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. It does not mention the display size but if we go by other members of the series, it could be the same 6.78-inch tall with Full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor and offer 5G connectivity. It is an enhanced version of the Snapdragon 888 flagship chipset that powers existing members of the ROG Phone 5 family.
The upcoming gaming beast is reported to be available in two configuration variants. The base variant will have 16GB of RAM with 256GB internal storage and the high-end variant will have 18GB of RAM with 512GB of internal storage. The battery capacity on the phone is reported to be 6000mAh along with 65W fast charging support.
There are no words on when the ROG Phone 5s will launch and for what price. Since the leak has already emerged, there is a good possibility that Asus is closer to announcing the phone officially. Nevertheless, we will keep you posted as and when any announcement will be made.
