In a surprising turn of events, Xiaomi has accidentally revealed vital Redmi 10 details ahead of the launch. It is an upcoming budget smartphone that first surfaced in leaks last week. The team accidentally published Redmi 10 launch blog post way ahead of the schedule. While the post was taken down later, the time gap was more than enough for netizens to take note.
The accidental leak revealed that Redmi 10 will sport a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) DotDisplay i.e. notched display. The panel will offer up to 90Hz refresh rate with adaptive support. Under the hood, it will have the MediaTek Helio G88 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB storage. There are three configuration options to choose from 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB.
The back panel will have quad rear cameras headlined by a 50-megapixel sensor. The other three sensors include an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera on the phone is an 8-megapixel sensor. The whole package will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery. It will be supported by 18W wired fast charging, 9W wireless fast charging, and will come bundled with a 22.5W charger.
The phone will boot MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box. Other noteworthy features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and 4G LTE connectivity. It will be sold in Sea Blue, Pebble White, and Carbon Gray color options.
The post did not mention anything about the availability details. We should hear about that in the near future but one thing is confirmed that Redmi 10 is a worthy successor to the Redmi 9 from the last year.
