Some recent rumors had suggested that OnePlus is done with its T-branded lineup of smartphones but if the latest hearsay is to be believed, the lineup is not entirely dead as OnePlus seems to have modified its plans.
As per the fresh reports, OnePlus would rather launch the T-branded variant of its OnePlus 9R phone, the newest member introduced this year. As per AndroidCentral citing insider sources, the new phone in the OnePlus T-series is going to be the OnePlus 9RT and it will launch in October for the Indian and Chinese markets.
The report also shares the hardware specifications of the phone. These include a 120Hz AMOLED panel, a “higher-binned version of the Snapdragon 870 processor,” and a 4,500mAH battery with 65W charging. OnePlus 9RT is said to have picked the 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor from the OnePlus 9 series as well as Nord 2. Details on the other sensors present on the phone are unknown at the moment.
The report further adds that the OnePlus 9RT will be the company’s first phone with OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12. As per the report, the OnePlus 9RT will bring more ColorOS features floating resizable windows, a theme store, and ColorOS’ Private Safe.
The report has shared no other details. But the newest tip spotted on Weibo fills in the remaining information. As per the tip, the other sensors include are 16MP and 2MP on the rear, 16MP front camera. Also, it may include 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The same tip also suggests the Chinese prices which can be translated for the Indian market as well.
