OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 11.1.5.5 to the original Nord phone. The update brings the August 2021 security patch in addition to improvements and a couple of new features.
As per the official changelog, the OxygenOS 11.1.5.5 update has added the screenshot feature for AOD. Also, the update adds the Bitmoji AOD, which OnePlus is gradually making available to most of its smartphones via a new update. The Bitmoji AOD is co-designed with Snapchat and it creates the Bitmoji avatar of your character.
The OxygenOS 11.1.5.5 has also improved system stability. This is a phased rollout, which means it will first reach a handful of users before a wider rollout. This is to ensure that the update is free from any potential risk and ready for the masses. This is an OTA update and should reach your device soon. But, if you don’t see the update notification then head over to Settings and look for System Updates. You might find the update knocking on your door there.
The update is 426MB in size and it is recommended that you install it over Wi-Fi.
