25 August 2021 0

Realme is working on releasing two new Realme 8 series mid-range smartphones in India. The first one is called the Realme 8s that surfaced in leaks last month. The second one is named Realme 8i that has just appeared in its first leak. The details have been shared by well-known tipster @OnLeaks in collaboration with Digit, an Indian online publication.

The Realme 8i leak comprises a product render and a few specification details. It shows the alleged smartphone with a 6.59-inch Full HD+ display featuring a punch-hole in the top left corner. The panel is said to support up to 120Hz refresh rate which is something that has started to become common for mid-range smartphones. The punch-hole on the front houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Under the hood, it is said to have the MediaTek Helio G96 processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This will make it the first smartphone to feature the new chipset. The back panel has a square-shaped camera module housing triple camera sensors. These are said to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.

The phone will have 4GB of RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 onboard storage but there could be more configuration options as well. The battery capacity on the device is said to be 5,000mAh. The good thing is that the Realme 8i will have both a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is said to weigh around 194 grams and have a thickness of 8.6mm.

The Realme 8i isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
