Leaks on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are still dribbling and they will continue to flow until the last minute. But, what’s the last minute, you ask! Well, if a recent tip from a Weibo post by a Chinese tipster named Bald Panda is to be believed, the Pixel 6-series will launch on September 13, which falls a day before Apple’s rumored September 14 event.
It is worth mentioning that the details on the much-anticipated big launches from the two key players are unclear, but is it possible that Google will launch its flagship phone series a day before Apple’s big event? Well, we don’t think so, and nor does Jon Prosser, one of the notable leakers in the industry. As per the leakster who’s an overall good track record when it comes to serving some unannounced details, the Google Pixel 6-series will be up for pre-orders on October 19 and will reach customers as well as stores on October 28.
But, the date for Google’s launch event remains unclear. However, Prosser points out since pre-orders are starting on October 19, it could be when the company could host its rumored ‘MadeByGoogle’ event.
Much is already known about the Pixel 6-series, but pointing to some fresh stories on the same, we get to learn that the phones will gain support for 23W wireless charging. This came to the notice when an alleged listing of a wireless charging stand for a Google Pixel device was spotted. The two models are already expected to feature 33W fast-charging wired charging.
One of the notable specifications of the Pixel 6 phones is Google’s custom-built Tensor chip. We are still standing at quite a distance from the speculated launch date. So, more details will continue to come as more tipsters and industry watchers chime in.
