HMD Global has finally opened the Android 12 beta program for Nokia X20. It is a smartphone that was announced earlier this year and can now run the upcoming Android version. The phone has been added to the company's Android developer preview program where all beta testers will get to try and test the new version ahead of the stable release.
The Nokia X20 comes loaded with an app named My Phone. This is that app that will allow users to sign-up for the beta testing program. It can take up to 12 hours for the Android 12 beta build to arrive on your device after getting selected. It will be an OTA release so whenever that happens, you will get a notification on the phone.
It is reported that users can also choose to start checking for updates manually 20 minutes after submitting the application. The manual check can be done by visiting Settings > About Phone > System Updates. It is important to note that this is a beta build which means it will not be as stable as the public build. There are likely to be bugs and performance issues which is the reason we would suggest you become a beta tester only if you are ready for handling all that.
