Redmi, a sub-brand owned by the leading Chinese electronics company Xiaomi is reportedly planning to launch a new smartphone. The name of the device in question is unknown but the first details on the same have emerged on the Chinese social platform Weibo.
The leakster famously known as Digital Chat Station has exposed some details of this upcoming Redmi phone. As per the leakster, the device has Snapdragon 870 processor and 120Hz OLED display. The post on Weibo further reveals the device might feature a 6.7-inch display and 1080x2400 pixels resolution and carry a 50MP main camera on the back.
It is believed the device that is being talked about could be the successor to the Redmi K40, which means K50.
The Redmi K40 had bagged many accolades for its overall performance. It was even addressed as “flagship killer” and an “all-rounder” as it gave fierce competition to its rivals and those tagged at a similar price. And, we believe the Redmi K50 will continue to the legacy, of course with improvements and upgrades.
Presumably, the alleged Redmi K50 might also enter India as a rebadged Xiaomi product under the company’s Mi lineup.
It is currently unknown when the device will show up officially. Well, whatever its time is, we will, meanwhile, continue to gain more insights in the coming days. So, stay tuned.
