Vivo has launched yet another mid-range smartphone and it is called Y21s. The phone has gone official in Indonesia for around $195.
The Vivo Y21s looks identical to the Y21 in terms of design and appearance. You will find the same waterdrop-style notch on the display and arrangement of the back cameras, though the two phones differ internally.
The Vivo Y21s gets the MediaTek Helio G80 processor. The phone also possesses the triple rear cameras setup, but the primary sensor is 50MP, bumped over the Y21 model. The other sensors in the setup are two 2MP cameras. In the front, the phone has an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
The display size is unchanged, with a 6.5-inch LCD panel, but the resolution is HD+ (720x1600 pixels). The smartphone packs 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, which can be expanded further up to 1TB using a microSD card slot.
Furthermore, other specifications include a 5,000mAh battery capacity with 18W fast-charging support. It runs on Android 11-based FunTouch OS 11.1. Connectivity options include a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5, dual-SIM slots, 4G, GPS, OTG, and more. It gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and other sensors include are ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and gyroscope.
The price of the Vivo Y21s is priced at IDR 2,799,000 ($195) for the 4GB RAM+128GB storage option. It comes in Midnight Blue and Pearl White color options. The phone is already up for sale on the online site Shopee.
