TCL has officially launched its newest 20 series smartphone TCL 20 R in Europe. The phone comes with mid-range specifications and supports 5G connectivity. The main highlights of the phone include a triple rear camera setup and a big enough battery to keep users going for a day with ease.
The TCL 20Y sports a 6.52-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) LCD IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a dew-drop notch. Under the hood, it has an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It has a single 64GB storage option with support for microSD cards. The latter is helpful in expanding the phone's storage if the native capacity gets full.
The vertically aligned triple-camera camera setup includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera specifications are unknown for the moment. The whole package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 10W charging. There is a fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
TCL has priced the TCL 20 R 5G at EUR 179 for the sole 4GB/64GB configuration in the Netherlands. The phone will go on sale sometime in October i.e. next month.
