Realme has officially unveiled two new Realme 8 series smartphones: Realme 8s 5G and Realme 8i. These are mid-range smartphones but only the first one supports 5G connectivity. Some of the common features include high refresh rate display panels, a big battery, and the latest software experience.

The Realme 8s 5G sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) LCD punch-hole display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is the world's first smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G processor with ARM Mali-G57 GPU. The phone is available in two configuration options: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage.

There is a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 64-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture and phase detection autofocus. The other cameras include a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera on the phone is a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.1 aperture.

The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W Dart Charge fast charging support. The phone will run Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 out of the box. The Realme 8s 5G has been priced at INR 17,999 for 6GB/128GB model and at INR 19,999 for the 8GB/128GB model. The name of color options include Universe Blue and Universe Purple.

The Realme 8i sports a 6.51-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) LCD IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it has the MediaTek Helio G96 processor coupled with 4GB and 6GB of RAM. It has 64GB and 128GB storage options with support for microSD cards. The latter is helpful in expanding the phone's storage if the native capacity gets full.

The triple-camera camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera on the phone is a 16-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and attending video calls. The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. On the software front, it will boot Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11.

Realme has priced the Realme 8i at INR 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB model and at INR 15,999 for 6GB/128GB model. It is available in Space Purple and Space Black color options
