Amazon's Fire TV lineup has just received a new flagship member named Fire TV Stick 4K Max. It packs all the features that Fire TV Stick 4K offers but also adds a few more goodies. The main highlights include a new processor for faster performance and WiFi 6 support for high-speed internet connectivity.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is powered by the 1.8GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8696 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It is claimed to be 40% more powerful than the Fire TV Stick 4K. There is also a new 750MHz GPU for improved graphics performance. It offers a low-latency mode that can be enabled while using the stick for the Luna game streaming service.
The new stick supports 4K UHD, HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ standards for a superior media viewing experience. In terms of audio, it will support Dolby Atmos. There is WiFi 6 support for faster streaming and gaming. Some improvements have also been made to the low power mode which is now said to consume 15% less power.
Amazon has further bundled the new stick with the new Alexa Voice Remote featuring quick shortcut buttons. These are meant for quickly accessing Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Hulu. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max has been priced at $54.99 in the United States. It is already up for pre-orders with a delivery date set for October 7th.
