Samsung has released Galaxy A52s 5G software update adding a new RAM Plus feature. It is essentially a virtual RAM feature that we have seen become a common trend among Chinese OEMs like Xiaomi, Realme, and Vivo. This new feature will allow users to add 4GB of extra RAM to the existing 6GB RAM available on the smartphone.
It should be noted that the feature does not mean that you will be able to download additional physical RAM to your smartphone. This is something that is impossible and you should not fall for any such claims. This is a software-based feature that takes a portion of the phone's onboard storage and uses it as virtual RAM. It is exactly how the concept of virtual RAM works on Windows machines.
With RAM Plus feature, Galaxy A52s 6GB RAM variant users will be able to use a total of 10GB of RAM. Those who own the 8GB RAM variant will be able to get up to 12GB of RAM. This extra memory will help users with multi-tasking performance and reduced lagging incidents.
