Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy M22 budget smartphone in Germany. The main highlight of the phone includes a quad-camera setup on the back panel. It also has a notched AMOLED display that should deliver a better media viewing experience. The phone further offers a good battery life with support for fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy M22 sports a 6.4-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a dotted notch. Under the hood, it has an undisclosed octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It has a single 128GB storage option with support for microSD cards. The latter is helpful in expanding the phone's storage if the native capacity gets full.
The square-shaped quad-camera camera setup is headlined by a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera on the phone is a 13-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture for taking selfies and attending video calls.
The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W charging. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Samsung is yet to reveal Galaxy M22 pricing and availability details.
