We still do not know the exact launch date for the Pixel 6 series but every once in a while, Google keeps doing something and sharing details to keep the hype alive. In the latest attempt, Google has put both Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro on the display at its New York City store.
The main focus is on showing the back panel design and color combinations. The Pixel 6 has been showcased in the dual-tone Orange color and the Pro version is shown in the Yellow-Gold combination. The horizontal camera strip is undoubtedly an attention grabber and is unique when compared to the competition. Google is touting the release of smartphones as "Coming Fall 2021" but an exact date is still unknown.
It recently also offered "Google Original (Potato) Chips" in Japan to hype the custom-made Tensor chipset that will power the upcoming flagships. There are a total of five packaging options matching the smartphone's back panel design. All of them are available in the same "Google Salty Flavor". These will be available for the first 10,000 people and each of them will have an option to get their names printed in the bottom right corner.
Both Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will come with a high refresh rate display, 90Hz and 120Hz respectively. There will be a flagship processor i.e. Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. Google is further promising improved camera performance including more efficient low-light mode.
