iQOO has unveiled a new mid-range 5G smartphone named iQOO Z5 in China. It is a direct successor to the iQOO Z3 launched earlier this year. The phone comes with a high-refresh-rate display, triple rear cameras, and fast charging support for a quick top-up of the battery level.
The iQOO Z5 sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) LCD display with a centered punch-hole. The panel supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, HDR content, and 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor coupled with 8GB and 12GB of RAM. There are 128GB and 256GB onboard storage options.
The triple rear cameras include a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The front camera on the phone includes a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.45 aperture. It is housed within the punch-hole and can be used for taking selfies and making video calls.
The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and is supported by 44W Flash Charge fast charging. It will be run Origin OS 1.0 based on Android 11. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
As for the pricing, the iQOO Z5 will cost you CNY 1,899 for the 8GB/128GB model. It will cost CNY 2,099 for the 8GB/256GB variant and CNY 2,299 for the 12GB/256GB variant.
