Oppo has launched a new mid-range phone called K9 Pro and specs-wise, it appears to be the Pro variant of the existing K9 phone that got launched in May this year.
The Oppo K9 Pro continues to retain the Full HD+ display, 6.43-inch screen size, and the triple rear cameras setup. But, it gets a little extra care in terms of other specifications. The refresh rate is now bumped to 120Hz from the 90Hz present on the vanilla version. The RAM size has also been increased, with up to 12GB. The phone gets MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 SoC and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It runs ColorOS 11.3 based on Android 11.
The Oppo K9 Pro houses a 4,500mAH battery that supports 65W fast charging. The configuration of the three cameras that are present on the rear panel includes a 64MP primary sensor, followed by an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, the phone gets a 16MP camera that supports AI Radiance Beauty 2.0, which aims to make selfies more vivid and natural.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Oppo K9 Pro uses two large graphite heat sinks for heat dissipation so that the performance continues to be smooth.
The price of the base variant of the Oppo K9 Pro which bears 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is 2,199 Yuan ($340). The top model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs 2,699 Yuan ($417). It comes in three color options – Glacier Overture, Obsidian Warrior, and Neo Silver Sea. It will be available for purchase. Those who pre-order the device can get a 200 Yuan ($31) discount.
