This year's OnePlus' flagship lineup has three models so far: OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R. It is known for releasing a "T" model but has already denied launching it going forward. But the rumor mill suggests it is instead working on a phone called OnePlus 9 RT. We first heard about it two months ago and now, a tipster has shared specification details.
The tipster claims that the OnePlus 9 RT will sport a Full HD+ display with a punch-hole. The refresh rate would be 120Hz which is in line with the current trend of offering high refresh rate panels. The choice of processor is said to be Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 but a previous report claimed it to be an improved variant of Snapdragon 870.
In the camera department, there will be a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 camera sensor which is the same one you get on the OnePlus 9 series smartphones. The other two cameras are said to be 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro. There are no words on the selfie camera yet. The battery capacity is tipped to be 4,500mAh along with 65W fast charging support.
Another tipster Digital Chat Station from Weibo has claimed that the OnePlus 9 RT will boot Android 11 based on ColorOS 12 out of the box. This is surely for the Chinese variant as global models will come with OxygenOS. There will be different configuration and color options priced between CNY 2,000 and CNY 3,000 i.e. $310 and $465.
