Apple Musicís new Voice plan costs just $5 for you to access millions of songs

Apple at its Unleashed event held on October 18 announced new Mac processors, MacBook Pro models, AirPods 3, and HomePod mini's new colors. And, alongside this range of products, Apple also took some time to explain its new Apple Music plan.

It is called the new Voice plan, a low-cost subscription tier for Apple Music that offers an ad-free experience at just $4.99 per month. The plan lets you access Apple Music’s 90M songs, playlists, personalized mixes, and genre stations, as well as Apple Music Radio.

The new plan joins Apple Music’s existing subscription plans – the individual plan and Family plan that come at $9.99 per month and $14.99 per month respectively. Like the Individual plan, the new Voice Plan is also limited to just 1 person per subscription.

Once subscribed, users can use this subscription to play the collection across all of their Siri-enabled devices, including the HomePod mini, AirPods, iPhone, or any other Apple device, and when using CarPlay.

The subscription plan looks more appropriate for HomePod mini even though the company touts its best use is with any Apple device. This is because the HomePod mini comes without a screen and it only makes sense to use Siri with it.

The subscribers will also get a customized in-app experience with suggestions based on the listener’s music preferences. Apple mentions there is going to be a dedicated section called “Just Ask Siri” where subscribers can learn tips to optimize Siri for Apple Music.

It should be noted that so many Apple Music rivals are already providing this ad-free subscription tier where its customers can access a series of new playlists based on activities.

The Apple Music Voice Plan will be available later this fall in 17 countries and regions, including Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
