Huawei has brought its 4G Nova 9 series in Vienna, Austria via a launch event on Thursday. This is the first smartphone to debut in Europe in 2021.
According to the Global Times, the announcement comes a day after a new flagship store was officially opened in the Vienna city center. It must have been no lesser than a challenge to bring a smartphone overseas despite the US’ chip band. But, Huawei is committed to its set goals which are to take leaps no matter what challenges come in its way.
The Huawei Nova 9 features rounded corners design. It features quad-camera sensors on the back and a hole-punch display to carry the selfie camera. The rear cameras are arranged in a pattern different from those conventional modules. These cameras unlock many modes and capabilities like Slow-Mo, Burst Shooting, High-Res, Night, Portrait, Panorama, Time-Lapse, and much more.
The Nova 9 gets the 32MP selfie camera that supports 720p at 240fps ultra slow-motion video. The front camera capture mode supports slow shutter, Story Creator, Time-Lapse, Panorama, Filter, Stickers, Timer, and much more.
The Huawei Nova 9 runs EMUI 12 on top of Android 11 but it lacks GMS (Google Mobile Services).
The Huawei Nova 9 comes in Black and Starry Blue color options. The price of the Nova 9 in Europe is €499. Huawei is also offering a broken screen replacement free of charge in the first year. The pre-sales have started and it comes with free pair of FreeBuds 2 earphones. Regular sales will start later this month.
