JioPhone Next was introduced back in June as a result of the collaborative effort of Google and Reliance Industries. But the participating companies didn’t dive into the details of their affordable phone. Now, the phone is officially unveiled and all of its specifications and price details are out.
In a blog post, Google has shared all the necessary details that a potential buyer would want to know.
JioPhone Next runs an optimized version of Android called Pragati OS. Google touts it has co-developed this phone with Reliance Jio to cater to the diverse needs of the Indian consumer. The phone includes read-aloud language translation for any on-screen text, a camera with India-centric Snapchat Lenses, and much more
The phone lets you have access to millions of apps via the Play Store and it can also pull over-the-air updates to upgrade itself further and enhance the overall experience. It will receive new features, customizations, security updates, and more. The JioPhone Next has Google Play Protect built-in that provides the phone malware protection.
The dual SIM JioPhone Next smartphone includes a 13MP camera that supports HDR mode. Apart from HDR, the JioPhone Next supports Night Mode and Portrait mode as well. Google claims the phone can produce clearer photos in low-light situations and at night.
