Samsung Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 FE launch dates leaked

08 November 2021 0

Samsung is set to be a lot busier than usual during the first couple of months next year. This is because Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S21 FE launch dates have been leaked. Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech shared these details in a tweet soon after he leaked real-life images of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, something that Samsung is said to be very upset with.

The leak reveals that Samsung will kick off 2022 by announcing the Galaxy S21 FE on January 4th. This is in line with a previous report suggesting a release timeline around CES 2022. Prosser says there will not be any pre-order window for the smartphone and it will directly go on sale starting January 11th. It is unknown what markets will get the phone but we should get some information in the coming weeks.

The biggest Galaxy Unpacked event of the year will take place on February 8th at 10:00 AM ET. It is the day we will get to see the Galaxy S22 series unveiling i.e. Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The tweet mentions that flagship preorders will get underway on the same day, probably soon after the event is over. Samsung will start selling the phones 10 days later i.e. from February 18th which should be a global release.

The small one-month gap between the launches of two products is certainly an odd choice. This could even affect Galaxy S21 FE sales as even though it will be a lot cheaper, it will have specifications from 2021. There is a good chance people would want to spend a little more and get the latest flagship i.e. the standard Galaxy S22. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see.
