OnePlus is well-known for collaborating with brands outside the consumer electronics industry and coming up with special edition products. It is now preparing to launch a new variant named OnePlus Nord 2 x Pac-Man Edition smartphone in partnership with Bandai Namco. The official teaser was shared last week and now, OnePlus has shared important details about special features and pricing details.

Oliver Zhang, Head of OnePlus' product portfolio, talked to Android Central in an exclusive conversation to throw some light on the upcoming device. He revealed that the company has paid special attention to ensuring that the Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition is not only different from the standard Nord 2 but also from all other previous special edition offerings.

The Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition is touted to be the first OnePlue smartphone to feature a "gamified" user interface. There will be unique Pac-Man-inspired static and live wallpapers, OxygenOS app icons, animations. and a custom camera filter. The phone will also have the Pac-Man 256 game pre-installed that buyers will be able to play right from day one.

There will be a number of challenges baked into the software experience. Zhang says there will be more exclusive Pac-Man content for users once they successfully complete all those challenges. As for the hardware, the phone will have a "dual film color, material, and finish (CMF)" that results in a unique back panel. It is a glow-in-the-dark back that outlines the PAC-MAN maze in neon.

OnePlus says Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition will cost INR 37,999 in India, £499 in the United Kingdom, and EUR 529 in Europe. This is for the single configuration of 12GB of RAM and 256GB onboard storage. There are no words on the launch date yet but we will share that as soon as it will be revealed publically.
