OnePlus 10 Pro leak reveals camera design | UPD: zoom features

23 November 2021 0

UPDATE (November 23rd, 2021):

Digital Chat Station, a well-known Weibo tipster, has revealed that the OnePlus 10 Pro camera will have zoom capabilities similar to the OnePlus 9 Pro. The current-gen flagship by OnePlus features a quad-camera setup headlined by a 48-megapixel sensor. It also has an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor that supports up to 3.3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. It seems like we will have the same telephoto camera with similar zoom functionality on next year's flagship.

Even though we are months away from the launch, we have the first OnePlus 10 Pro leak to talk about. These are a bunch of renders shared by tipster @OnLeaks in collaboration with Zouton, an online publication. The renders focus on the OnePlus 10 Pro camera module that definitely looks unique.

The alleged OnePlus 10 Pro can be seen with a triple camera setup and LED flash housed inside a square-shaped camera module. It is the placement of the module that makes it different from the rest of the crowd. In the first impression, the overall approach does seem to be inspired by what Samsung did with the Galaxy S21 series.

The report further adds that the OnePlus 10 series is expected to get official during the first half of 2022. The pricing of the base model is tipped to be a whopping $1,069 but that is likely for the OnePlus 10 Pro. There is reported to be a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 3216 x 1440 pixels resolution and 526PPI pixel density. The available storage options could be 128GB and 256GB along with a 5,000mAh battery.

These are just initial reports and claims which is why we would suggest you take them with caution. Even if the report is correct, things can always change by the time we get close to the release date. In other news, OnePlus is certainly preparing for the launch of the OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition. This new special edition smartphone will go official on November 15th and will cost slightly more than the standard Nord 2.
