Samsung's alleged Galaxy S21 FE has turned into some sort of a mythical device. For every rumor that talks about the launch, we have come across leaks suggesting a delay in release plans. It is most recently rumored to get official on January 4th and now, a fresh leak has surfaced detailing specifications as well as marketing materials.
The leaked materials show Galaxy S21 FE features a product design similar to the Galaxy S21. The phone is tipped to sport a 6.4-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass, a centered punch-hole, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The punch hole is said to house a 32-megapixel front camera for taking selfies and attending video calls.
The choice of processor is expected to be between Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100, depending on the market. There will be multiple configuration options featuring up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage. The back panel has a vertically aligned triple camera setup headlined by a 64-megapixel sensor. The other two cameras include a wide-angle sensor and a depth sensor.
There is a 4,500mAh battery to keep the lights on and is supported by 15W fast charging. It will boot Android 11 out of the box and will be layered with Samsung's custom One UI Android skin. Other noteworthy features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, and dual-band WiFi.
The report further corroborates the January 4th launch date for the Galaxy S21 FE. It does not mention exact pricing but says that it will be available at a "great price" in stores.
